yes I've heard about that long time ago, but is not true .It's just one of the many myths about GOLF. It is suggested that the name golf is an acronym, and it was supported by photos showing only men playing the game in the 1600s. But that time has passed and ladies now pay the same membership fees as men and enjoy the same privileges in all GOLF clubs.
