Assalam 3aleikoum everybody,
Why is english so difficult to be learnt by french people? I'm french and I have been learning english for more than 12 years, and I still cannot even speak fluently! And I'm not the only one, when tourists ask a french guy in english, he cannot understand the question. Is there a problem with our education system? How other countries teach english? How have you learn english? Can you bring me more sugar for making tea? Analyze and discuss... P.S: don't hesitate to correct me, please. ![]() |

Wa aleikoum salaam,
Wich link has the title`Where is Brahim´ with you´re questions? ![]() Lmohim, I have learned english at the college. 4 years long.. And I can not speak english good en fluently too. You can speak english fluently when you follow an intense english course. Now you get apparently a few hours english in a week.. That´s not much to speak good english.. |

phheeeeeeeeeeeww
but still....you could've said that u were French originally Moroccan.... Don't get me wrong....I thought that u were a student in France....meaning to say that u lived in Morocco and u went to France to pursue ur studies. concerning your topic, which I find very interesting, I think that the problem doesn't come from where people are from....in other words, languages are learnt properly when they are practised properly. wherever u go, u'll find people speaking English with an accent. This is a normal situation due to the native language they speak themselves. French as a language, is a strong one and when a French person speaks English iwa I don't say to you (man3aaaaaaawedch lik) ![]() English, however, is spoken softly and this is why it sounds funny to hear a french speaking english and vice versa. also, let's not forget that English/British accents vary from England to America, which makes it difficult for beginners to understand British/American people. |

@Meryam: Sorry for the title, it's a kind of private joke (from where is Bryan... he's in the kitchen)... It's a sketch of Gad Elmaleh, a french/moroccan humorist.
@Casawia: [HS]yak 9oult lik ana zmagri a 80%???[/HS] I agrrrrrrrreeee with you .But now I'm working with two girls from Romania, and their english (even with that damned sexy accent) is better than mine, and sometimes I'm shocked to see that I'm the only one able to communicate with them. (and I'm very happy when I have to... )So give me solutions!! Am I obliged to live in an English-speaking country to improve my english? So Casawia, could you please introduce me a nice "girl of people", a hen with its kamoun??? (djaja bi kamoun8a?) lol |

how would you like to improve your English? is it from the speaking part, writing or grammar/vocabulary??
as far as I can see, you are doing pretty good if u r looking for an English accent...it's not that easy to get it and yes to improve your english you have to live in an english spoken country. in that way, u will have to speak english 24/7 and hence your english will improve gradually. but in ur case, and so not to be far from your sexy romanians , I suggest that u read english books, watch movies/news in english, learn songs in english by reading the lyrics for example.... |
